I tried to get a gloomier look with fancy grunge borders, but I failed. Oh well.

I'm so hopeless in color-coordination too. This is not what I've expected, which means I have to spend a lot more time on design works. How does it look? Frankly, boring!

A Denial

Posted by ayate at 03:25 PM on February 5, 2004.

ART

What if denied,
You've thought about it.

Just like
When someone denied you
When the family denied you
When the society denied you
When politics denied you
When culture denied you
When the world denied you
Eventually
When your own private happiness denied you
Where would u go live?
You've thought about it.

If life is merely about 'being denied'
You might want to get out of this place
Forever.
To look down
From the highest peak of denial.

Such an adorable art work of Paing, an influencing Burmese poet. It really soothes me well whenever you say 'Noo'.

They were there but now they're gone. Nothing left but a bad design work. Good.

Typography 1

I didn't dream last night. It's been like that for more than 2 years now. Docs said it could happen when my nerve fibers are too stiff. I don't believe I'm stiff but for some reason they saw me that way. I'm not sure whether I should be sad or amused for that. Ahh, dreamless nights. Pure darkness. So peaceful. so secure. So unthreatening. Oh, and I don't need to remember or talk about my dreams to anyone anymore now right?

Blanks

Posted by ayate at 05:50 PM on February 10, 2004.

PS layer hell. There's no static, dynamic, scale and/or rhythm present, but just the flat white blankness sits in each rectangle. I hate the look but that's it for now. I might revamp it someday. Not visually enticing eh?

Happiness ...

Posted by ayate at 07:03 PM on February 12, 2004.

Happiness. That's my second priority in life. I learned to spell it right in both Burmese and English when I was six. For so many years, I've been wondering how happiness would come to me. A large amount of cash? Orgasms? Pills? Nice suits? A cozy shelter? I thought of happiness as a warm computer, or lips of the gal that I was in love with, or chemical dreams, or powders, or a movie, or shallow promises, or laughters, or a song played in my headphones. But gradually I realised that I was wrong. What is happiness then? [The glass is half empty now and I still can't figure out correctly on this yet.] Don't tell me that it's just a word in the English dictionary.

Awesome. And just like that, yesterday was gone. I woke up in the next morning and looked around to see nothing's left as planned. Umm, yea that's good. I don't wanna remember anything. Exactly the way I wanted. Haha.

What went wrong?

Posted by ayate at 08:58 PM on February 16, 2004.

Did you go out today? Did you see so many colourful people passing non-stop around you? Did you feel isolated somehow? Did you look at those eyes? Did you read those? Nah, you probably have not.

Matrix Is Blue

Posted by ayate at 08:59 PM on February 20, 2004.

I've been thinking what if they chose matrix colour to blue instead of bright green, and the chosen one be Trinity instead of Neo? Nah, that ain't right.

On Monday ...

Posted by ayate at 09:55 AM on March 1, 2004.

No design thought or idea came to me this weekend. I went out to see some old friends, did some old shits, and swapped some old dreams. I think I was happy. Whatever happened, friends are friends right, tOoDLes? They brought some joy to me life too. Yea I should go out more than that.

Now, here's a little something that I've stolen from Rawwbert. Don't take it seriously, it's just supposed to be a Monday joke, k? [but some of us are gonna die for our arrogance. heh.]

Men Strike Back

How many men does it take to open a beer?
None. It should be opened by the time she brings it.

Why is a laundromat a really bad place to pick up a woman?
Because a woman who can't even afford a washing machine will probably never be able to support you.

Why do women have smaller feet than men?
It's one of those "evolutionary things" that allows them to stand closer to the kitchen sink.

How do you know when a woman is about to say something smart?
When she starts her sentence with "A man once told me..."

How do you fix a woman's watch?
You don't. There is a clock on the oven.

Why do men break wind more than women?
Because women can't shut up long enough to build up the required pressure.

If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first?
The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.

What's worse than a Male Chauvinist Pig?
A woman who won't do what she's told.

I married Miss Right.
I just didn't know her first name was Always.

Scientists have discovered a food that diminishes a woman's sex drive by 90%.
It's called a Wedding Cake.

Why do men die before their wives?
They want to.

In the beginning, God created the earth and rested.
Then God created Man and rested.
Then God created Woman.
Since then, neither God nor Man has rested.
